Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary 2026: Starter Rotations, XP, and Special Moves

KUKJIN LEE·July 23, 2026

Following the GO Fest 2026 Global Challenges, Ultra Unlock: 10th Anniversary Edition ran July 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.–July 27 at 8:00 p.m. local time. The event is over; this is a record of its announced features.

The focus was first partner Pokémon, catch XP, special-move Evolutions, and the GO Pass. It was not a Heatmor-focused event.

Starter Rotations by Date

July 21–23

Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn first partners were featured from July 21, 10:00 a.m. to July 23, 10:00 a.m. local time.

  • Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle
  • Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile
  • Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip
  • 6× XP for catching Pokémon

July 23–25

Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos first partners were featured from July 23, 10:00 a.m. to July 25, 10:00 a.m.

  • Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup
  • Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott
  • Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie
  • 8× XP for catching Pokémon

July 25–27

Alola, Galar, and Paldea first partners were featured from July 25, 10:00 a.m. to July 27, 8:00 p.m.

  • Rowlet, Litten, Popplio
  • Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble
  • Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly
  • 10× XP for catching Pokémon

An active Lucky Egg doubled the applicable catch XP, making the final block 20× the unboosted baseline. A consistent throw target and actual available playtime mattered more than assuming the multiplier guaranteed a specific level.

Special-Move Evolution Opportunities

During the announced event, eligible final Evolutions could receive the following Charged Attacks. Evolving after the window does not reproduce the event bonus.

Type Featured move Eligible final Evolutions
Grass Frenzy Plant Venusaur, Meganium, Sceptile, Torterra, Serperior, Chesnaught, Decidueye, Rillaboom, Meowscarada
Fire Blast Burn Charizard, Typhlosion, Blaziken, Infernape, Emboar, Delphox, Incineroar, Cinderace, Skeledirge
Water Hydro Cannon Blastoise, Feraligatr, Swampert, Empoleon, Samurott, Greninja, Primarina, Inteleon, Quaquaval

Moves such as Blast Burn and Hydro Cannon can have special acquisition restrictions outside eligible events. The opportunity was to complete an intended evolution project without assuming regular TMs would supply the same move later.

Lures and Raids

Regular Lure Module Targets

Regular Lures could attract event Pokémon including:

  • Beldum
  • Gible
  • Dreepy
  • Other event-themed species

Beldum and Gible Candy could support future builds, with Pinap or Silver Pinap Berries helping on successful catches. Dreepy was not marked Shiny-capable in this event announcement; that is a statement about the historical notice, not an eternal release-status claim.

Featured Raid Encounters

  • One-star raids: Grimer wearing a party hat
  • Three-star raids: Raticate, Nidorino, Gengar, and Wobbuffet wearing party hats
  • Additional costume feature: Professor Willow's assistant Pikachu

The relevant raid encounters could be Shiny or have team-specific Special Backgrounds. Assistant Pikachu's raid availability continued until July 27, 8:00 p.m. local time, separate from the shorter birthday research day.

GO Pass Milestone Bonuses

GO Pass: 10th Anniversary was granted automatically when it began, with bonuses unlocked through progression rather than all applied immediately.

  • Rank 10: 2× catch Candy
  • Deluxe Rank 10: 3× catch Candy instead of the free-track multiplier
  • Rank 20: increased Candy XL chance
  • July 25, midnight–July 27, 7:59 p.m. local time: no daily GO Point earning cap
  • Unlocked pass rewards expired July 29, 7:59 p.m. local time

For a Candy plan, reaching the relevant pass milestones before a long catch session and using an appropriate matching-type Mega could be useful. These were the past event's conditions, not currently claimable bonuses. Chesnaught is included above to correct its omission from the source's Grass list.

Regional and version notes

English localization reviewed October 23, 2026. Global schedules marked local time follow your play location, including North America. Ended event, ticket, and reward windows are historical. Counter choices, upgrade order, and efficiency suggestions are editorial guidance, not guaranteed wins, catches, or a current measured performance ranking. The Grass evolution list adds Chesnaught, confirmed in the official notice but omitted from the source’s shorter list. Dreepy’s Shiny status is scoped to that event notice. Pass earning, uncapped points, reward claiming, and birthday research use separate windows. Some illustrations are retained from the Korean edition and may include Korean labels.
