Surge Deathblade: More Room to Manage Stacks
The Korean source highlights stack carryover and reduced gauge pressure as improvements to Surge. The Western September rework confirms specific supporting passive changes, but they still require the correct setup. “Arts no longer runs out” does not mean the state survives every action indefinitely.
An 80-Stack Capacity and Up to 60 Consumed

With the relevant Chaos Strength effect, Burst Enhancement can reach 80. Ending Blade Arts consumes up to 60 stacks under its rules, allowing excess stacks to support the next sequence. The core mechanic is capacity and consumption, not an instruction to wait for 80 before every Surge.
A practical habit is to watch both the current stack total and the valid damage window, avoiding unnecessary overcapping while preserving the intended payoff.
Carryover can reduce some pressure from an interrupted sequence, but does not erase the cost of missed attacks or every boss transition. Confirm the active passive and what actually persists through the specific mechanic.
Spin Cutter and Dark Axel in One Skill Bar
The source’s 222 variant includes both utility options. That is a proposed skill arrangement, not evidence that every earlier Surge build had to choose only one.
Dropping Blitz Rush can leave a busier sequence with less time spent charging. More movement options may help, while repeated casts can increase input demands. Compare your actual safe windows and selected skills rather than assuming more mobility always means an easier rotation.
The Source’s Approximately Five-Second Loop

That timing depends on gems, Swiftness, core effects, skill hits, and encounter conditions. It is not an independently verified minimum cycle for every 222 build.

Cooldown Gems: The source recommends high cooldown gems for Surprise Attack and Wind Cut. Check the actual breakpoint in your setup before buying Level 10. Its older cooldown-gem terminology must not be read as a universal T4 gem requirement.
Source Rotation Outline Wind Cut → Maelstrom → Surprise Attack → Turning Slash → available setup-dependent skills → Earth Cleaver → Surge. The omitted middle actions mean this is an outline, not a complete importable preset.
If stacks and the opening already support a good Surge, another generator may be unnecessary. Decide from the current effect and stack display instead of rigidly forcing every listed skill.
Does 138% Attack Speed Improve the Sequence?
The source describes an interaction between Earth Cleaver’s hits, input timing, and the following Surge. That claim needs a controlled comparison before becoming a stat target.
Its reported 138% versus 140% difference is not independently reproduced here. Timing, cancellation, latency, and skill configuration could affect the result. Do not add Mass Increase solely to reproduce an anecdote; compare its full damage and attack-speed tradeoff.
Breaking Moon and Concentrated Burst
The Western notes say the relevant Chaos Strength effect grants 60 additional stacks when Breaking Moon hits during Blade Arts, while also greatly increasing its cooldown. It is not an unconditional stack grant on every cast. Plan any follow-up Surge around the actual hit, state, buffs, and skill availability. Atropine is optional and costs HP; Adrenaline is a different engraving effect.
Orb Control can prevent natural gauge depletion in its active state, while Surge and other actions still follow their own ending rules. Use any applicable Push Immunity for protected execution, but keep avoiding damage and lethal mechanics. The rework provides options rather than a proven universal balance advantage.
