Historical Korean shop and progression examples · About these guides
Gold can disappear quickly when you are building skill gems, Relic engravings, Ark Grid, and equipment at the same time. New and returning players benefit from choosing a few clear priorities.
Build toward the content you actually plan to run. Copying a complete endgame character or buying every support-shop product can spend far more than you need at your current stage.
These five ideas adapt a July 2026 Korean progression guide. Shop prices, bundles, passes, and events below are historical Korean examples rather than offers confirmed for North America today.
Check the live shop, event dates, eligibility, and market before spending. The principles remain useful even when a quoted product is unavailable.
1. Buy Only the Level 7 Luminous Gems You Need

The Korean example prices a bound Level 7 Luminous Gem at 20,000 gold in the growth support shop. At that example price, buying all 11 slots costs 220,000 gold. This is not a verified current Western price.
That is a large purchase while other systems remain unfinished. Prioritize the skills that benefit most instead of assuming all slots need the same level immediately.
Mixing Level 6 and Level 7 Gems
The source lists Level 6 Luminous Gems from the Clear Medal shop and gems from growth missions, attendance, and Mokoko Base Camp. Check what is currently available to you first; the Korean Base Camp event mentioned here ended October 14, and does not establish a live Western reward.
A budget starting point might use:
- Level 7 Luminous Gems for important damage skills.
- Level 7 Luminous Gems for cooldowns that determine your rotation.
- Level 6 Luminous Gems for lower-priority slots.
Five purchased Level 7 gems plus six reward Level 6 gems would cost 100,000 gold at the source’s example price if the six reward gems cost no gold. This is a budgeting example, not a universal raid-ready setup; the damage/cooldown split depends on your class.
Checking Netherworld Rewards
Paradise’s Netherworld can offer bound Level 8 Luminous Gems under the appropriate key, progression, and reward rules. Inspect the actual reward pool for your entry.
A gem is not guaranteed on every run. Consider rewards you can realistically earn before filling every slot through the shop, but do not budget as though a random higher-level gem is certain.
The source’s specific bound support-shop gems cannot be fused or restored. That restriction is product-specific: ordinary resonated Luminous Gems have their own fusion and restoration rules. Read the item tooltip before treating every Luminous Gem as permanently locked.
2. Price Engraving Books in Milestones
Eligible Relic engraving progression improves at 5, 10, 15, and 20 books. Check your learned progress and the next available effect before buying a full stack of 20.
A cheap book only saves gold if the engraving actually fits your complete build.
Cursed Doll
Cursed Doll is a damage option with a healing-related drawback in the setup discussed by the source. Check its current effect and penalty in your region, and account for your comfort with raid healing rather than relying on an old attack-power description.
Barricade
Barricade increases outgoing damage while you are shielded. Its value depends on having a shield during your important attacks, rather than merely having access to one.
Check whether shield duration and your damage windows overlap consistently in actual fights.
MP Efficiency Increase
MP Efficiency Increase can support an appropriate MP-using build. Compare its current MP and damage conditions with your actual skills; the Korean article’s wording should not substitute for the live effect.
A mana-less class cannot make the same use of it. Conversely, having enough MP does not automatically disqualify an MP-using build: evaluate the current damage condition instead of assuming you must run low on mana.
All-Out Attack and Super Charge
All-Out Attack supports suitable Casting and Holding skills; Super Charge supports Charge skills. Check how much of your damage uses the required skill type.
Stabilized Status and Master’s Tenacity depend on HP conditions. A low price is not useful if you cannot reliably meet the condition during damage windows.
Before buying books:
- Confirm the engravings used by your chosen build.
- Calculate the cost of the next five-book milestone.
- Compare the actual benefit of the next unlocked level.
- Consider whether other characters can use the learned engraving.
- Make sure any drawback fits your playstyle and encounter.
3. Unlock the Ark Grid Effects Your Build Needs

Ark Grid combines cores and Astrogems. Cores provide Willpower capacity for equipping gems; the equipped gems’ Core Points activate core effects. Capacity and effect points are separate numbers.
Effects appear at breakpoints such as 10, 14, 17, 18, 19, and 20, depending on grade and core. An early 14-point setup can help, but some builds need 17 points for their defining effect; do not assume 14 is always complete.
Order and Chaos Cores
Order cores provide class-specific effects tied to the corresponding active Enlightenment setup. Chaos cores offer more general combat effects, with their own role and effect requirements.
Some Order cores substantially change a main skill or rotation. Prioritize the effects your build depends on instead of always choosing Order or Chaos first.
Check:
- Your active Enlightenment passives.
- Which main skills receive the effect.
- What changes at 14 and 17 Core Points.
- Whether the core duplicates something you already own.
- The Willpower needed for the proposed gems.
Evaluating an Ark Grid Support Box
The Korean source describes a growth support gold-shop box limited to one purchase per character. Confirm whether your current region offers an equivalent product.
Its historical example costs 40,000 gold for a Legendary core and three Epic Astrogem selection boxes. Compare the exact selectable contents with current market prices; the quoted Korean bundle is not a verified live Western offer.
The bundle is less attractive if you already own the needed gems or do not plan to keep playing the character.
Starting with Affordable Astrogems
Early on, look for gems that reach the required Core Points within your available Willpower capacity.
- Order: the low-capacity type described as “Stability” in the Korean source.
- Chaos: the low-capacity type described as “Erosion” in the Korean source.
Prioritize Willpower cost and Core Points before chasing ideal secondary effects. Replace starter gems as your core grade, capacity, and budget improve.
The higher-end types described as “Immutable” and “Collapse” can be more demanding to process and equip. Before committing, check the live reset rules, ticket or Crystal cost where applicable, and whether you can afford another attempt.
Using Cathedral Exchange Materials
The source discusses the grace-fragment exchange currency earned in Horizon Cathedral, an Abyssal Dungeon. Match the reward currency and exchange in your client rather than assuming every dungeon drops it.
The Korean Abyssal Dungeon crafting exchange lists categories such as:
- Relic core-related boxes.
- Ancient core-related boxes.
- Epic Astrogem selection boxes.
- Random Astrogem boxes.
- Honing support materials.
Required item level, materials, selection pools, and crafting limits differ. Verify that a box contains an item your character can actually use before exchanging currency.
4. Do Not Reroll Solely on Patch Reactions

Strong opinions spread quickly after balance changes. A class being described as overpowered or unplayable is not, by itself, reliable evidence of your next purchase’s value.
Switching mains can require new gems, equipment, engravings, and Ark Grid effects. Count the full transition cost before treating a short-term balance reaction as a reason to abandon your current character.
The Soulfist Example
Korea substantially reworked Soulfist on June 24 and adjusted it again on July 22. North America received its own September 16 balance package, including the rework. The Korean dates do not describe a standalone live Western July nerf.
For Robust Spirit, check your actual gameplay rather than only a headline damage percentage:
- The balance between Martial Arts and Force skills.
- How the revised Robust Spirit effect works.
- Hype duration and recovery management.
- Supreme Art effects if testing that alternative, formerly Energy Overflow.
- Your actual raid rotation and hit rate.
- Where your skills provide Paralysis or Push Immunity.
If your current character can complete your target content, learning the updated rotation may be less expensive than an immediate main swap. Reassess with actual results and the full current patch context.
5. Compare the Full Cost of an Alt
Alts can earn resources, but creating, equipping, and maintaining them also costs gold, materials, and time.
Estimate how long you would actually play the alt and which rewards it is eligible to earn. Extra characters do not automatically repay their setup costs.
The South Rimeria Powerpass Example
The Korean source quotes 63,000 Royal Crystals for its South Rimeria pass and a route to item level 1660. This historical Korean price must not be read as a dollar price or assumed to match the Western store.
Even after using a pass, budget for relevant systems such as:
- Accessories.
- Ability stones.
- Skill gems.
- Relic engraving progression.
- Ark Passive setup.
- Equipment progression and any region-applicable systems; the source also mentions Transcendence, whose current treatment must be checked locally.
A pass trades money for story time. It does not remove all later gearing costs.
Knowledge Transfer and the Growth Support Center
Knowledge Transfer can skip eligible main/world story progression and provide associated gear rewards under its current rules. Check the Growth Support Center’s available transfers and prerequisites.
The Korean example estimates roughly 50,000 gold for a North Vern-to-North Kurzan route ending with 1640 gear, depending on character state. This is not a fixed price or an automatically available Western package.
Do not assume Knowledge Transfer completes every side quest, adventure quest, or Adventurer’s Tome objective. Check what remains on the transferred character.
Playing Through the Story
Manual story progression avoids pass and transfer costs while helping you learn Triports, regions, and unlock requirements.
It also takes time, and later honing and build costs still apply. Compare that time with what you actually want from the character.
Before making an alt, check any currently active Powerpass or growth event and its character restrictions. The Korean Base Camp example is historical, so use your live event panel rather than assuming that event is still available.
