Korean Paradise Orbs: Season 1 Removal and Season 4 Retention Rules

URITRIP·September 9, 2026

Korean seasonal item rules · About these guides

When Korea’s Paradise Season 4 began, Orbs obtained in Season 1 were removed. Players keeping older Orbs needed to check their season and whether the remaining items were still usable. These are Korean rules, not an assumption about every regional client.

The central change was a removal rule for older seasonal Orbs. Season 2 and 3 Orbs remained usable, while Season 4 introduced new ones.

What changed in the Korean Orb rules?

The official notice states that a new season removes Orbs obtained three seasons before the current one. Season 4 therefore removed Season 1 Orbs.

Orb Season 4 treatment
Season 1 Orbs Removed
Season 2 and 3 Orbs Still usable, with their maximum Paradise Power fixed
Season 4 Orbs Two available in total, from Crucible stages 3 and 6

Season 2 and 3 Orbs could no longer increase their effects but remained usable and could be sold to NPC vendors. Before selling a remaining Orb, compare its actual effect and whether you have a suitable replacement. “Paradise Power” here describes the Korean stat in the notice.

How this differed from earlier guidance

Korean Paradise Orb retention changes in Season 4

The source notes that the earlier Season 1 ending guidance described earned Orbs as retained beyond the season, with maximum Paradise Power fixed rather than further increased.

The later Season 3 ending guidance added that Season 1 Orbs would be removed when the next season began.

The relevant change was therefore more than one item disappearing: previously retained rewards gained a rolling removal rule. Players who stored them under the earlier guidance could reasonably experience this as a change to retention expectations.

How to interpret the policy

The official notice confirms what was removed and the applicable rule. The storage and balance explanations below are editorial interpretations, not confirmed developer reasons for the decision.

Storage and item management

Accumulating Orbs can leave players repeatedly deciding which ones to keep, including unused items occupying storage.

A cleanup rule can reduce that burden, but storage convenience alone does not establish why automatic removal is necessary. Selling or retaining an item by choice is another option. Both convenience and player choice matter when assessing the policy.

Balancing Orbs across seasons

If many earlier Orbs remain usable indefinitely, new designs may need comparison with more historical effects. A strong old option could also be unavailable to someone who missed that season.

A rolling availability range can limit that comparison. Its existence does not prove class balance or new-player disadvantages are solved; actual effects and uses need examination.

Reward retention and player trust

Season 1 Orb removal versus usable Season 2 and 3 Orbs

Seasonal content repeats new challenges and rewards. Players need predictable retention rules to decide how much time to commit.

If a reward can disappear later, explaining that rule when it is earned helps players weigh the effort against its expected period of use.

Assessing this change therefore involves both storage convenience and how clearly revised retention conditions were communicated.

What to check after the Korean Season 4 update

Identify the season of equipped and stored Orbs. When you obtain a replacement, compare actual effects before changing or selling older usable items.

Stored Season 1 Orb boxes also need care. The updated notice says a Season 1 Orb obtained by opening a box can be sold to an NPC, but is automatically removed on relog. A surviving box does not make its Season 1 Orb a permanent workaround.

Check season and usability first, then arrange older usable Orbs after comparing replacements. Apply the exact rules and dates for your region rather than assuming the Korean policy is universal.
