Archived pre-release class analysis · About these guides
This is an archived Korean pre-release analysis of Dimensionalist’s clock, timeline, and rift mechanics. The class has since launched in the West. Its predictions about a new meta and permanent Back Attack uptime are not verified live-build conclusions.
The preview suggested two distinct approaches to time and space. Use it to understand the design ideas, then consult current passives, skills, and patch notes before building a character.
The Class Introduced in the Preview

The source praises the teaser’s utility and visual identity. That is a first impression, not evidence that the class has the strongest baseline kit or an established position in raid rankings.
The Clock and Cooldown Claims

The source describes skill hits advancing a dimensional clock and a completed cycle reducing applicable cooldowns by 20 seconds. Read the selected passive’s triggers, exceptions, and later changes; it is not a guarantee that every build resets every skill unconditionally.
The source interpreted this as strong built-in rotation support. That does not demonstrate a current best build, nor mean the time- and space-focused variants retain identical clock rules.
It also describes these acceleration-state bonuses. They are preview figures to compare with the live tooltip, not unconditional permanent stats:
-
Movement Speed 10% in the source’s described state.
-
Skill Casting Speed 5% in that state.
-
Natural MP Recovery 50% in that state.
Time-Focused and Spatial Playstyles
The roadmap called them Time Manager and Spatial Swordsman. Current Western October notes use Time Wielder for the time-focused passive. These are class-passive choices, not old-style extra combat engraving slots.
Feature Time-Focused Playstyle Spatial Swordsman Main Idea Enter and return from a split timeline, with exit choices. Create a rift enabling qualifying Back Attacks under its effect rules. Source Stat Expectation Specialization with Crit. Crit and Swiftness. Source Playstyle Expectation Repeated skill sequences around timeline state changes. Sustained damage using the rift’s positional effect. Potential Strength A planned return and concentrated damage window. More flexible qualifying attack angles and a triggered damage effect. Players Who Might Enjoy It Players who like planning burst and return timing. Players who like repeated attacks and managing a positional zone.-
Time-Focused Preview: The source describes skill availability changing on split-timeline entry and different Z/X return choices. Do not extend “all skills reset” to Awakening, Hyper Awakening, movement, or other exceptions without the current tooltip. Stored state and the return location also matter.
-
Spatial Preview: The source quotes a 15-second recharge and 20-second rift duration. That suggests possible overlap under ideal conditions, not guaranteed raid uptime. It also highlights a claimed cooldown effect for minute-hand skills; confirm the actual skill category and current value rather than applying a blanket 40% reduction to the whole kit.
Purple visual effects do not prove an Awakening is a minute-hand skill or receives a particular passive bonus. Determine classification and scaling from its actual tooltip, not the teaser’s color palette.
Preview Build Suggestions
These were expectations before the full live rules were established, rather than a verified optimized preset.
-
Engraving Candidates: The source considers Grudge, Keen Blunt Weapon, Adrenaline, and Raid Captain. Suitability depends on effective Crit, movement speed, and the complete current build; none is established as mandatory merely by the teaser.
-
MP Efficiency Increase and Mass Increase: The source says the time-focused return attack does not spend MP. Even if true for that skill, MP Efficiency Increase needs evaluation across the whole kit under its actual conditions. Likewise, a casting-speed bonus does not alone settle Mass Increase’s attack-speed tradeoff.
-
Ark Passive Choices: The source anticipates useful Evolution and Enlightenment interactions. Check actual names, point totals, and the current Leap options rather than turning that expectation into a fixed allocation.
The preview’s useful takeaway is the contrast between timeline planning and rift-based attacks. It does not prove unlimited resets, guaranteed Back Attack uptime, or a universal launch build. Use the live character and current recommended skills for an actual setup.
-
Does the Rift Give Teammates the Same Back Attack Effect?
-
Do not assume it does. The source presents it as a personal mechanic. Check the active effect’s recipients; a visually shared location does not automatically grant the same positional benefit to every party member.
-
-
How Should I Choose Between Z and X?
-
Read the current return rules and the encounter. Compare the damage-producing return, stored position, and alternative exit against the next mechanic. The best choice depends on the active build and safety, rather than a universal “always press one key” rule.
-
-
Can the Rift Really Have 100% Uptime?
-
Not guaranteed by the preview. Recharge-versus-duration arithmetic does not account for movement, phase changes, interrupted casts, effect conditions, or later passive changes. Track actual active coverage and usable attack windows instead of assuming a theoretical overlap guarantees every hit.
