TFT Set 18 Rammus–Fiddlesticks Guide: Items, Zyra Support, and Reroll Decisions

URITRIP·October 5, 2026

Before copying an item list for Set 18 Rammus, Fiddlesticks, and Zyra, check which route your units and components support, whether frontline holds, and whether you can afford rerolls. The same champions can produce different results depending on item allocation and spending order.

Learn the alternatives: prioritize Rammus’s defenses, concentrate items on Fiddlesticks, or prepare Zyra’s damage. These sample builds are starting points. Make the actual choice around stars and enemy boards.

What to Check in a Set 18 Rammus Board

The 18.3 Rammus and Azir Changes

The official 18.3 patch raises Rammus’s shield from 350/450/550 to 400/550/725 by star level. Azir’s ability damage rises from 43/65/103 to 46/69/110. Those changes inform using Rammus as frontline and considering Azir alongside him.

Individual buffs do not establish superiority in every game. Missing items or low-star carries still matter. The shield buff supports evaluating Rammus’s durability; it does not prove a universal S-tier comp.

Blackthorn Users Must Read the Mid-Patch Update Too

In 18.3b, Blackthorn’s base damage amplification from an AP-unit sacrifice changes from 14% to 12%. Check the relevant client’s trait text rather than copying older descriptions, and verify the sacrifice hex before combat.

Sample Rammus, Fiddlesticks, and Zyra Items

Use these examples to prioritize your strongest current unit and the job missing from fights. Do not try to complete every unit’s full build simultaneously.

Champion Example Items Combat Check
Rammus Two Gargoyle Stoneplates Does the defensive investment meaningfully extend survival?
Fiddlesticks Archangel’s Staff, Titan’s Resolve, Sunfire Cape Can the unit survive and contribute through a long fight?
Zyra Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Void Staff Does she have time to attack without being exposed?
Azir Hextech Gunblade, Rabadon’s Deathcap Do components and star level justify additional investment?

Rammus Items Should Solve the Actual Frontline Problem

If considering double Gargoyle, watch the fights. More defense can be urgent if frontline falls before carries attack. If it already holds but enemies do not die, damage may be a better use of the next components.

Do not leave components idle indefinitely for an exact build. Compare the improvement from waiting with the HP lost in the meantime. An immediately useful slam may be the better choice.

Fiddlesticks or Zyra: Who Gets Items First?

Judge the current unit rather than the name. Higher stars, good use of available components, and effective contribution against the next opponent are useful priorities. Choose what stabilizes the next fight.

If frontline dies immediately, another Zyra item may not solve the problem. If survival is fine but damage is low, finish the main threat rather than distributing partial builds everywhere.

Build the Opener Around Current Strength

Use Available 2-Stars and Completed Items

A final plan does not require waiting only for its units. Field natural 2-stars and useful traits. Choose a temporary holder if you plan to move the items later.

Prepare the replacement units and a way to transfer items before selling existing strength. A transition that temporarily weakens the board can cost extra HP.

Fix One Midgame Weakness at a Time

When losses continue, watch why: Rammus dying early, a carry dying before casting, or a long fight with insufficient damage all call for different fixes.

Read survival time and attack opportunities alongside total damage. Knowing whether poor output comes from items or positioning helps you spend efficiently.

Roll or Level?

Compare 3-Star Progress with Contesting

Before chasing Rammus or Fiddlesticks 3, count copies and scout direct competitors. Close upgrades with spare HP and gold can justify more rolls. Few copies plus heavy contesting call for reassessing the investment.

Focus on the expected strength gain rather than an all-in rule tied to a specific round. Compare rolling for core stars with adding a useful unit through leveling.

At Low HP, Prepare the Next Fight First

Immediate survival may outweigh preserving interest. Look for reachable 2-stars, usable items, and an added trait. If the target 3-star is distant, consider other upgrades to the current board.

Positioning and Augment Details That Are Easy to Miss

Protect Backline as Well as Frontline

Rammus taking attacks does not automatically make the carry safe. Against backline access or position-targeted damage, consider moving the carry, then confirm that the change actually increases attack time.

Scout potential opponents instead of keeping one layout forever. With Blackthorn, check the sacrifice hex in addition to the ordinary front-to-back arrangement.

Judge Augments by Their Current Effect

Patch 18.3 changes Item Extraction from four extractions to three and adds an Azir. Read the selection text: a familiar Augment may differ from an older guide.

Identify whether the missing resource is gold, items, or combat strength. Distant scaling at critical HP, or more of an item reward you already have enough of, may leave the actual problem unresolved.

Rammus–Fiddlesticks FAQ

Are Two Gargoyle Stoneplates Mandatory?

No. Consider components, stars, enemy damage patterns, and your other frontline units. Do not miss usable immediate strength while waiting for one exact build.

Must I Fully Itemize Both Fiddlesticks and Zyra?

With enough resources, multiple threats are possible. With limited items, finishing one carry and supporting frontline is usually easier to evaluate than spreading items thinly. Give each investment a job.

Can I Force This Comp Every Game?

Repetition can build familiarity, but shops and items will not always support the same route. Keep alternatives open when contested or missing components. Learn the entry conditions alongside the final roster.

For Rammus–Fiddlesticks, judge frontline survival, main-carry completion, and rolling resources together. Fix the biggest current weakness first, and the next decision becomes clearer.

Regional and version notes

The listed Rammus and Azir buffs are from Patch 18.3. Rammus’s 3-star shield is subsequently reduced in 18.4. Sample builds explain item allocation and are not claimed to be current best-in-slot.
