GO Wild Area 2026 Sendai/Tohoku: Tickets, Location Backgrounds, and Raid Goals

KUKJIN LEE·October 12, 2026

New Gigantamax Duraludon or Crowned Energy first? For GO Wild Area: Sendai/Tohoku, choose among new Pokémon, form-change resources, and destination backgrounds before assigning battle time.

Remote participation needs a separate check for Energy versus background eligibility. Eternatus rumors are not a confirmed appearance. This guide preserves the source’s October 12, 2026 announcement context and adds English regional framing.

Sendai Dates and Tickets

The Japan event and Global weekend are a week apart, with different raid lineups. Check where your target actually appears.

ItemDate or Scope
In-person eventNovember 6–8, 2026, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. JST
LocationSendai-centered activities and Miyagi-wide gameplay
Base ticketOne day, ¥4,000 including applicable tax and fees
Additional daysSeparate day add-ons
Global eventNovember 14–15, 2026

One base ticket does not cover all three days. Use Japan Standard Time at the destination, not your home time zone. Ticket date and location restrictions still apply, and the price excludes travel and accommodation.

Duraludon and Background Targets

Gigantamax Duraludon and six-star Max Battles

Gigantamax collectors can prioritize Duraludon, with Dynamax Dialga and Palkia also relevant for the Max collection.

Three-star raidMachamp wearing a modern jacketCostume collecting

Gigantamax Duraludon appears in six-star Max Battles. Ticket-holder research also specifies an encounter with its Location Background.

With limited time, secure missing entries before repeating for additional outcomes. Allow for movement and waiting, and keep two or three priorities.

Location Backgrounds and Remote Participation

Sendai Location Backgrounds require ticketed attendance

The commemorative Sendai background is officially a Location Background, distinct from the Global Special Background. The six Pokémon above are its listed targets.

For a battle-catch destination background, the requirement is a valid event ticket and in-person participation. It remains chance-based. Buying a ticket and joining remotely from North America does not qualify for that background.

Choose which individual’s background matters most rather than requiring IVs, Shiny, and background all at once. Costume Machamp also needs time outside five-star raids.

Crowned Form Preparation

For a first form change, the target needs Iron Head plus 1,000 matching Crowned Sword or Crowned Shield Energy. Check Candy and every requirement shown in-game too.

Both Crowned forms can enter Max Battles. Choose around missing offense or defensive support, not an assumption one Pokémon is best against everything.

Does the Background Restriction Also Remove Remote Energy?

Those are separate eligibility questions. The Sendai announcement describes Energy for Trainers defeating the Crowned raid bosses, so lacking a ticket should not automatically be interpreted as losing all Energy eligibility.

That wording alone does not explain every remote-operation detail. Read the current battle entry rules and announcements before spending a Remote Raid Pass. Background and Energy eligibility need separate checks.

Sendai and Global Have Different Five-Star Bosses

Sendai Crowned raids compared with Global Kyurem raids

For those waiting for Global, compare the announced daily lineup:

Global DayFive-Star RaidsMain Max Targets
Saturday, November 14Zekrom and White KyuremDynamax Dialga; Gigantamax Duraludon
Sunday, November 15Reshiram and Black KyuremDynamax Palkia; Gigantamax Duraludon

That weekend supports Kyurem Fusion Energy goals, not an assumption the Crowned Energy lineup carries over unchanged.

Global is an alternative for obtaining Duraludon, while a Sendai souvenir background requires the destination’s conditions.

Use Ticket Bonuses Around Your Goal

The selected-day bonuses include up to ten free daily Raid Passes from Gym Photo Discs, an 8,000 Max Particle daily collection limit, and 25% lower Max Particle costs for Max Move unlocks and upgrades. That last saving does not discount every resource used for upgrades.

Set the order around your goal:

  1. New Pokémon: Secure Duraludon and missing Dynamax Legendaries first.
  2. Crowned preparation: Allocate raids to the Energy shortfall.
  3. Destination collecting: Prioritize favorite backgrounds and costume Machamp.
  4. Short session: Coordinate route and participants and reduce repeat goals.

You need not consume every bonus to enjoy the event. A clear target makes spending more purposeful.

Eternatus: Separate Rumors From the Announced Lineup

Eternatus return rumors distinguished from confirmed event announcements

Datamining discussion is not confirmation of an Eternatus return at Sendai. New data alone does not establish a date, encounter route, or upgrade cost.

The official Sendai and Global rosters checked for the original October 12 article did not announce that return. Keep any future resource plan separate and base purchases on published features. This guide does not establish a later unannounced appearance.

FAQ

Does a Sendai Ticket Include Global?

No. In-person and Global tickets are separate products with their own exclusive research.

Are Backgrounds or Shinies Guaranteed?

Ordinary battle catches do not guarantee either. Separate those chances from research rewards that explicitly specify a background.

What Should I Check for My First Crowned Form?

The individual’s move, matching Energy balance, and full form-change screen.

Should I Buy Only for Eternatus?

A rumored return is not an established ticket benefit. Assess whether the published roster and experience justify the purchase.

This localization uses English Pokémon, move, and item names. Global schedules marked local time follow your play location; Korea-only events use KST and the Sendai event uses JST. Ended events are historical, not renewed reward offers. Tactical recommendations and upgrade priorities are editorial guidance, not guaranteed wins or live performance rankings. One Sendai ticket covers its selected day; add-ons and Global tickets are separate. A Location Background and Crowned Energy have different participation rules.
