Into the Wild 2026 Priority Guide: Crowned Energy, Dynamax, and GO Pass

KUKJIN LEE·October 19, 2026

Start Into the Wild with Crowned Energy, new Dynamax targets, and the GO Pass rewards you actually need. The lead-in to GO Wild Area: Global combines raids, Max Battles, and box bonuses, but you need not pursue every route equally.

Returning players can prepare usable team members before spreading upgrades across many Pokémon. Established raiders may instead prioritize new Dynamax entries or Shiny collecting.

Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta

Check Missing Energy Before Chasing Another IV Spread

Zacian’s raid resource is Crowned Sword Energy; Zamazenta’s is Crowned Shield Energy. They are separate resources, so raid for the form you need.

The first change requires 1,000 matching Energy and Iron Head on the target. Read the full form-change screen for Candy and other requirements. Iron Head changes into Behemoth Blade for Zacian or Behemoth Bash for Zamazenta.

If you already own a suitable individual, check its move and Energy balance before replacing it. A defined gap makes pass and time allocation easier.

Once that individual has changed form, later changes do not require more Energy. Crowned forms cannot be traded or sent to Pokémon HOME while in those forms.

Choose Its Team Role

Zacian is an attacking candidate; Zamazenta can support defensive roles. Both can participate in Max Battles without Dynamaxing.

One capture does not complete all preparation. Attack, Max Guard, and Max Spirit roles involve different move and upgrade plans. Coordinate the role with your group.

With limited Stardust, prepare one frequently used individual and its relevant moves before starting several. Collection and investment can happen at different times.

Raid Hours and Remote Caps Are Separate

TargetRaid Hour, Local Time
Crowned Sword ZacianNovember 9, 6–7 p.m.
Crowned Shield ZamazentaNovember 10, 6–7 p.m.

These are local-time event hours for your location, including North America, rather than simultaneous Korean clock times. The bosses also appear in the wider event’s five-star raids.

The Remote Raid cap becomes 30 per day November 9–13 and is removed November 14–15. That is a participation-limit increase, not free passes. Set an Energy target and pass budget separately.

Prepare for Dynamax Regidrago

Regidrago and Meltan Come From Different Places

The new Dynamax Regidrago appears in five-star Max Battles, while Dynamax Meltan is a GO Pass reward. Sharing a debut period does not give them the same encounter route.

Mark the desired five-star boss’s date, including its focused 6–7 p.m. hour.

Dynamax TargetDateFeatured Attack
RegisteelNovember 11Metal Claw
RegidragoNovember 12Dragon Breath
LatiasNovember 13Mist Ball
LatiosNovember 13Luster Purge

Metal Claw and Dragon Breath are Fast Attacks; Mist Ball and Luster Purge are Charged Attacks. ‘Featured’ does not imply every entry is new or equally exclusive. Compare collection goals with actual moveset needs.

Prepare Damage and Survival

High CP alone is not a Max Battle plan. Decide who attacks, who survives between phases, and who supports recovery.

Pick the Power Spot and group first, then review eligible Pokémon and moves. Spend Candy, Stardust, and Max Particles to fill missing roles rather than copying someone else’s fully upgraded team automatically.

If an entry is the goal, decide when to stop after obtaining it. Completing a collection and fully upgrading it at once can cost much more.

Treat Special Backgrounds as an Additional Goal

Successful event catches from five-star raids and five-star Max Battles can receive the new Special Background. It is not attached to every catch.

Instead of pursuing the entry, perfect IVs, Shiny, and background simultaneously, choose the one outcome that matters most and plan additional attempts around it.

Shiny Meltan and Gimmighoul Routes

Ordinary Meltan with Mystery Box and Coin Bag collecting themes

Non-Dynamax Meltan: Mystery Box

Send a Pokémon from GO to Pokémon HOME or the Nintendo Switch Let’s Go, Pikachu!/Let’s Go, Eevee! games to obtain the Mystery Box.

During the relevant bonus window it can produce Shiny Meltan, and the reopening wait is reduced. Check the item’s timer for your next use.

Remember: the Mystery Box is not the event’s Dynamax Meltan route. Ordinary Meltan comes from the box; the Dynamax encounter comes from the pass.

Roaming Form Gimmighoul: Coin Bag

Connect GO with Pokémon Scarlet or Violet and send a Postcard to use the Coin Bag for Roaming Form Gimmighoul encounters.

A Postcard can be sent once per day, and sending another enables reuse. This differs from sending Pokémon to HOME for Meltan.

The bonus window also gives Coin Bag encounters a chance to be Shiny. For Gholdengo, separately plan the 999 Gimmighoul Coins required for evolution alongside obtaining your chosen individual.

Both box-related Shiny bonuses run November 9, 10 a.m.–November 15, 6 p.m. local time, later than the main Into the Wild cutoff.

Use the Travel Between Battles Too

Themed wild encounters include Magnemite, Noibat, and Togedemaru. Pick missing entries or Candy targets, and include Field Research in your route.

Before opening a box, check Balls and storage. Fewer forced cleanup stops make the collecting window more useful. Choose a comfortable session length rather than expecting every Shiny.

Deluxe and Silver Bottle Cap Decisions

The Free GO Pass Includes Dynamax Meltan

Earn points and ranks for the free encounter and other rewards. Deluxe adds a Silver Bottle Cap, more Meltan encounters, and other paid-track rewards. Identify which track contains your goal first.

TrackMilestoneBonus
Free GO PassRank 25Half hatch distance for Eggs newly incubated while the bonus applies
GO Pass DeluxeRank 15,000 additional XP per completed raid or Max Battle
GO Pass DeluxeRank 2Max Particle costs for Max Move unlocks and upgrades reduced to three-quarters
GO Pass DeluxeRank 3One extra Candy per raid or Max Battle; one extra Candy XL for Trainers level 31+

Three-quarters of the normal Particle cost is a 25% saving. Unlock that milestone before making the relevant upgrades if you choose Deluxe.

Decide around a suitable Bottle Cap target and realistic progress. Paying does not immediately complete the reward track. A later upgrade can claim earned paid-track ranks, so free progress first is an option.

The Silver Bottle Cap Starts One Stat’s Course

It is a single-use item for Hyper Training one of Attack, Defense, or HP, not an immediate 15/15/15 transformation. Tasks in the chosen course raise that stat.

A 15/15/14 Pokémon might be an HP candidate; several deficient stats cannot all be fixed by one use. Also consider whether you will use the individual often.

The target must be at least a Good Buddy, and active buddy status is required for training progress. Shadow Pokémon and already perfect individuals are ineligible. Hyper-Trained Pokémon cannot transfer to HOME.

Take extra care with CP-capped league candidates: raising IVs can push them out of eligibility. Fit to the intended league and role matters more than a higher number.

Keep the Four Deadlines Separate

ActivityLocal-Time Window
Main Into the Wild eventNovember 9, 10 a.m.–November 13, 8 p.m.
GO Point earningNovember 9, 10 a.m.–November 15, 6 p.m.

Use this Deluxe Bottle CapBy November 22, 11:59 p.m.
Complete an activated courseWithin 365 days of use

The item cannot sit unused for 365 days. Use it before expiry, then finish training within the course’s separate deadline. A late claim does not extend its expiry.

Check Global Challenge progress too. Completing the shared raid and Max Battle target unlocks Adventure Effect and Max Meter bonuses; do not assume they are active from the start.

FAQ

Does the Mystery Box Give Dynamax Meltan?

The event’s Dynamax Meltan comes from the GO Pass, separately from ordinary box encounters.

Can One Pokémon Use Several Silver Bottle Caps?

It can begin another course after the previous one is complete. One use still addresses only one stat.

Are Backgrounds or Shinies Guaranteed?

No. Obtain your first priority, then decide a sensible limit for further attempts.

Start by checking Energy and existing teams, then assign time to the battles, box sessions, and pass ranks that support your goals.

Regional and version notes

This localization uses English Pokémon, move, and item names. Global schedules marked local time follow your play location; Korea-only events use KST and the Sendai event uses JST. Ended events are historical, not renewed reward offers. Tactical recommendations and upgrade priorities are editorial guidance, not guaranteed wins or live performance rankings. The main event, GO Point earning, pass claiming, Bottle Cap activation, and Hyper Training completion have different deadlines. Max Move Particle savings are 25%, not a reduction to every upgrade resource. Some illustrations are retained from the Korean edition and may include Korean labels.
