Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek 2026—Bramblin, Incense, and Mega Manectric

KUKJIN LEE·October 11, 2026

Was registering Bramblin the only goal in Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek?

The event also linked collecting with Incense timing and buddy choice. This October guide is historical: the event and its listed claim windows have ended.

Shiny targets and Mega Energy offered other goals, but some benefits required GO Pass ranks and prior Mega Evolution, not simply going for a walk.

The source reflects October 11, 2026 information. The global event windows below are local time in the play location, including North America, rather than Korea-only hours.

Original Event Overview

ItemDetail
EventOctober 13, 10 a.m.–October 19, 2026, 8 p.m.
DebutBramblin
Boosted Shiny opportunitiesElectrike; Hisuian Growlithe from later Incense
GO Pass Rank 10Regular Incense lasts two hours
GO Pass Rank 205× Manectric Mega Energy from eligible buddy exploration

Hisuian Growlithe’s boosted Shiny opportunity begins October 16 at 10 a.m., with a change in the Incense pool.

Also, Daily Adventure Incense is excluded from the event pool and duration bonus. The relevant item is regular Incense.

How Bramblin Was Available

Bramblin routes through regular Incense, event Field Research, and GO Pass tasks

The source lists regular Incense, GO Pass tasks, and event Field Research. The announcement does not list it as an ordinary wild encounter or announce a Shiny Bramblin debut.

Incense and research provided different routes rather than requiring reliance on a single encounter source.

Registering the entry and gathering Candy can come before major Stardust investment. Check its evolution’s role and your actual team needs first.

The Incense Pool Changed on October 16

Window, Local TimeRegular Incense Pokémon
October 13, 10 a.m.–October 16, 10 a.m.Galarian Ponyta, Hoppip, Electrike, Dwebble, Bramblin
October 16, 10 a.m.–October 19, 8 p.m.Hisuian Growlithe, Nincada, Electrike, Helioptile, Bramblin

Bramblin and Electrike span both pools. A Hisuian Growlithe goal instead points to the later window.

For limited playtime, separate a debut-entry session from a later targeted Shiny session rather than expecting every encounter immediately.

Prioritize Your Collection Goal

There is no universal catch order. Choose between an entry, Mega preparation, and Shiny collection.

PokémonGoalAfter Catching
BramblinNew entry and evolution CandyKeep first; assess investment later
ElectrikeMega Manectric preparation or Shiny collectionCompare with owned individuals
Hisuian GrowlitheShiny collectionUse the later Incense window
HoppipJumpluff for a league teamCheck league-specific IV and CP fit

These are goal-based catching suggestions, not a combat-power ranking.

Catching a candidate and immediately spending Stardust are separate decisions.

Two-Hour Incense and 5× Energy Need Milestones

Rank 10 Incense duration and conditional Rank 20 Manectric Mega Energy bonus

Rank 10 unlocked the duration benefit. A short session still needed to be planned around time actually available rather than waiting until no opportunity remained.

For the Energy milestone, Manectric must have Mega Evolved at least once, Rank 20 must be unlocked, and Electrike or Manectric must be the buddy. Some Field Research also supplied Manectric Mega Energy.

The preparation sequence was:

  1. Check prior Manectric Mega Evolution.
  2. Unlock the required GO Pass milestone.
  3. Check buddy selection and the Incense bonus.
  4. Combine catching and research on the route.

Changing the buddy alone was not enough. Check Mega history, pass rank, and buddy selection together.

Mega Manectric: Super Max Is a Separate Investment

The event introduced Manectric’s Super Max level and the additional Charged Attack Discharge+ while Mega Evolved.

A single Mega Evolution does not unlock Super Max. The individual must reach Mega Level 3, Max, before spending its Mega Energy to increase the next level.

The source describes Super Max benefits including a CP increase, improved catch bonuses, and a 24-hour rest period before a free Mega Evolution. Check current in-game level details before committing Energy.

Secure a suitable individual and resources first rather than assuming the final tier is an immediate requirement. Compare the role with an already prepared Electric Mega.

Read Deluxe rewards and attainable ranks before purchasing. A new species alone is not a reason to assume the paid track is necessary.

Timed Research and GO Pass Had Different Claim Deadlines

The source lists free Timed Research with 16,800 XP and a marathon-sun-cap Pikachu. Its cited public task list reaches 42 km of exploration; this is the source’s task-list account, not a new independent completion test.

A later pass claim window did not extend every other objective.

ActivityLocal Cutoff
Timed Research tasks and rewardsOctober 19, 8 p.m.
GO Point earning and rank progressOctober 19, 8 p.m.
Claim already-unlocked pass rewardsOctober 21, 8 p.m.

Only already-unlocked pass rewards remained claimable until October 21. The main event, Timed Research, and rank progression ended October 19 at 8 p.m. These are now historical deadlines.

For a later event, check Incense, buddy eligibility, and research windows before beginning a session.

A new entry can be a reasonable first goal. Matching the selected bonuses to your actual targets is more useful than trying to collect every benefit at once.

Regional and version notes

This localization uses English Pokémon, move, and item names. Global schedules marked local time follow your play location; Korea-only events use KST and the Sendai event uses JST. Ended events are historical, not renewed reward offers. Tactical recommendations and upgrade priorities are editorial guidance, not guaranteed wins or live performance rankings. The October 13–19 event and October 21 pass claim cutoff have ended. Regular Incense and Daily Adventure Incense are distinct. The 42 km task detail is retained from the source’s cited task list, not independently replayed here. Some illustrations are retained from the Korean edition and may include Korean labels. Use the English article text for instructions.
