KMS gearing example · About these guides
For the 2026 KMS Item Burning PLUS set discussed here, the issued gear expires November 18 at 11:59 p.m. KST, not during November 19. This guide reviews the source's 23.6-billion-meso replacement example; its prices and performance are not current quotes or guarantees.
The source models the final temporary set at a converted score of 55,673. That is a character-specific third-party estimate, not a universal equipment rating. Losing temporary gear can disrupt training and bossing, so prepare permanent replacements before the actual item expiry.
One source example aims for four-piece Eternal and five-piece Arcane Umbra set effects. That requires the actual eligible pieces and a liberated Genesis Lucky Item weapon; the label does not mean equipping nine armor pieces. The claimed roughly 1.6% Final Damage gain is a source estimate, not independently reproduced or guaranteed. Do not assume prices must rise near expiry.

The source's equipment comparison
Its converted-score examples are:
Character-specific reference figures
-
Final Item Burning equipment: converted score 55,673

Critical Damage plus two main-stat lines: converted score 55,955

Two Critical Damage lines: converted score 56,114

Comparing glove options
The source favored Critical Damage plus main stat over double-Critical-Damage gloves, reporting roughly 4 billion mesos saved in its comparison. Actual listing differences and the value of each stat depend on class and options; compare the complete candidate rather than assuming that saving still exists.
Buying finished gear versus enhancing
The better route depends on available mesos, usable enhancement resources, and actual listings.
The source's finished-gear budget: about 23.6 billion mesos
The example buys finished gloves, shoes, cape, shoulder, and three Eternal pieces. Its four/five set-effect label assumes the existing eligible Genesis weapon and valid Lucky Item conditions.
-
Benefit: The finished enhancement state is visible before purchase; compare all stats and trade restrictions.
-
Trade-off: Listings, Scissors costs, and later resale value can change. Buying removes enhancement randomness from that item, not every cost or market risk.
The source's self-enhancement example
This route assumed access to suitable event rewards. Several summer reward-use periods have now ended, so an unclaimed or expired reward cannot fund a new plan.
-
Eternal hat, top, and bottom:
-
The source considered an appropriate cooldown/main-stat hat or roughly 17% main-Potential base pieces, then Black Rebirth Flames for a 150–160-equivalent bonus-stat target. The comparison method and usable hat lines depend on the class.
-
Its claimed Shining-event average to 17 stars was about 1.72 billion mesos per piece. That is an unverified source estimate with omitted assumptions, not a guaranteed budget or current simulator result.
-
-
Arcane Umbra shoes, cape, and shoulder:
-
The plan allocated its three eligible level-200 18-star armor scrolls here. Their item limits and Memento restrictions apply; a scroll capped at level 200 cannot enhance a level-250 Eternal piece.
-
Spell Trace scrolling: The source estimates 220,000 traces at its assumed normal costs, versus 110,000 during a 50%-cost event. Those are setup-dependent estimates. Spell Trace Fever improves success rates; it is a separate benefit and does not by itself mean half-price trace costs.
-
Reaching 21% main Potential: The source quotes average reroll counts of 85 for shoes and 70 each for cape/shoulder. It does not provide enough tier, line, probability, and cost assumptions to use those as verified expectations; random rerolls also need a stopping budget.
-
Why the source preferred finished gloves
It reserved its limited 18-star scrolls for other slots and wanted to avoid chasing Critical Damage lines. That can support comparing finished gloves, but buying is not universally cheaper; compare the actual listing against a fully costed enhancement plan.
Comparing the two routes
| Factor | Buy finished | Enhance yourself |
| Meso cost | Known listing and transaction costs at purchase | Potential savings if usable rewards and favorable costs exist; the source suggested 3–5 billion, without guaranteeing it |
| Randomness | The listed item's finished state can be inspected | Flames, rerolls, and Star Force can exceed an average estimate |
| Required resources | Mesos and any applicable transaction/Scissors costs | Mesos, eligible enhancement items, and time |
| Market exposure | Listings can move in either direction before purchase or resale | Buying a base early fixes that purchase price only; later costs and prices still vary |
Turn the example into a replacement plan
The goal is a usable permanent setup before expiry, not speculative buying based on an assumed market spike.
A practical planning sequence
-
Step 1: inspect the candidates Compare eligible base and finished listings, set effects, and the equipment already owned. Buy only if the full route fits the budget; an expiry deadline does not guarantee a price increase.
-
Step 2: confirm available resources Check usable flames, actual Spell Trace discount dates, and the relevant Star Force event rules. Do not count rewards whose use period has ended.
-
Step 3: finish the useful setup Compare finished Critical-Damage/main-stat gloves with the full self-enhancement cost, then fill the remaining real damage or force shortfall.
Q1. Is enhancing gloves always a mistake?
Answer: No. The source preferred buying because of its scroll allocation and desired lines. Existing gloves, usable rewards, listing prices, and your risk budget can change the answer.
Q2. What if mesos and boss materials are limited?
Answer: Avoid committing to a random enhancement route before funding essential weapon/secondary/emblem and symbol needs. Saving for a suitable finished piece may be more predictable, but check the actual alternatives.
Q3. What if I missed the event scrolls or discounts?
Answer: Recalculate the route without them. The source's self-enhancement estimate depended on those benefits, so it cannot be reused unchanged after their expiry.
