KMS event · About these guides
If you have claimed the Korean Ascendant Pulse Ring, first decide whether it will be a meso/drop ring or a bossing ring. For farming rewards, look for Item Drop Rate and Meso Obtained lines. For bossing, compare useful combat potentials and Star Force against your current rings.
The item discussed here is the KMS Ascendant Pulse Ring. It uses a dedicated resource, Pulse Enhancers. Potential rerolls and Star Force draw on that same supply, so trying to finish everything at once can spread it thin. These are English renderings of the Korean event names, not a GMS availability announcement.
This guide covers claiming the ring, earning Enhancers, choosing an upgrade order, and understanding replacement-purchase restrictions.
Should you build it for farming or bossing?

The Korean shorthand in the source refers to Item Drop Rate and Meso Obtained. A farming ring targets those potential lines; a bossing ring targets combat stats useful to your class.
The better role depends on your equipment and play habits.
| Your situation | Role to consider first |
|---|---|
| You train regularly but lack meso/drop rings | Useful farming potential lines |
| Your farming gear is ready but a bossing ring is weak | A combat-focused ring |
| Swapping rings stops you from one-shotting monsters | Preserving farming damage first |
| You already have strong rings for both roles | Whether this ring replaces anything meaningfully |
A new or returning player does not automatically need a farming ring. If you train little and need damage for an immediate boss goal, combat lines may be more useful.
If your bossing rings are already covered, consider filling a farming gap instead.
How to claim the ring and the Korean event window
Join the Argo invitation event, then claim the ring through the dedicated Ascendant Link interface in KMS.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Claim limit | Once per Maple ID |
| Item type | Untradeable, permanent ring |
| Maximum Star Force | 20 stars |
| KMS event window | After September 17 maintenance through November 18, 2026, 11:59 p.m. KST |
Choose the receiving character before claiming an untradeable ring. Consider who you will keep farming and bossing on, and what role the ring would fill, rather than looking only at current level.
If you play several characters, compare the missing farming and bossing slots on the ones you use most.
Earning and budgeting Pulse Enhancers
Pulse Enhancers are the ring's dedicated upgrade resource. They come from daily and weekly missions, plus random drops from level-range monsters.
| Source | Requirement | Enhancers |
|---|---|---|
| Daily collection missions | Defeat 10,000 level-range monsters | 120 total |
| Weekly investigation missions | Defeat 30,000 level-range monsters | 750 total |
| Additional farming drops | Defeat level-range monsters | Random drops |
Weekly completion opportunities accumulate at midnight on Thursdays, with up to eight completions during the event. Late starters should check the opportunities displayed in the event interface before planning their sessions. Reset times here are KST.
The ring is permanent, but Pulse Enhancer upgrades end with the event. Split your remaining supply between potentials and Star Force according to the time left and the role you chose.
An upgrade order for a meso/drop ring

1. Plan how to reach Legendary Potential
Check whether you can use an event-ring Legendary Potential Scroll. Its eligible items and purchase conditions can change how much Enhancer spending you need.
Potential and Bonus Potential rerolls using Pulse Enhancers do not count toward the guaranteed tier-up counter. Set a resource limit for tiering up, and check the exact scroll before relying on it.
2. Secure one useful line before chasing two
For your first farming ring, a practical intermediate goal is one line that improves your current setup, rather than insisting on two meso/drop lines immediately.
For example, one drop-rate line with useful main-stat lines can preserve farming damage while improving rewards.
Two farming lines are a later target for spare resources. Repeated rerolls do not guarantee the combination you want. Decide what you will keep and how much more you will spend.
3. Compare good combat rolls before rerolling them
If a strong combat roll appears while chasing farming lines, compare it with your existing bossing ring before discarding it.
For a character short on bossing rings, keeping that roll may be more useful immediately. It also changes the original farming-ring plan.
Choose based on the role you need most, rather than changing direction solely because a roll looks impressive.
4. Check farming damage, then add Star Force if needed
Useful farming lines can disappoint if the ring swap significantly slows your kills.
Compare these on the same map:
-
Hits required to kill a monster
-
Kills over a fixed test duration
-
Changes to your route and skill use
If damage is lacking, consider Star Force, but also compare other equipment or progression upgrades that could solve the problem more efficiently.
A workable sequence is prepare the potential tier → keep usable lines → test farming damage → add only the Star Force you need. Adapt it to your actual character.
How far should a bossing ring be enhanced?
First target a setup that improves on your current ring, rather than the maximum possible star count.
Seventeen or eighteen stars can be intermediate goals. Neither is universally optimal: your current ring, next planned replacement, and remaining Enhancers all matter.
Start with combat lines your class can use
Two useful potential lines can be a starting target. Their actual value depends on your class and other equipment, so line count alone is not enough.
Give Bonus Potential its own budget. Trying to finish it while main Potential and Star Force are still lacking can divide your resources too widely. This is the Korean system; GMS Heroic does not share the same Bonus Potential setup.
Include destruction risk in the Star Force decision
Star Force using Pulse Enhancers can destroy the ring. A target of 17 or 18 stars is not a guarantee of reaching it safely.
Sunday Maple enhancement benefits do not apply when using Enhancers. Read the success and destruction chances, safeguard availability, and cost at your current step.
Stopping when the ring meets your current boss goal is reasonable. Invest for the performance you need instead of automatically pushing the cap.
Can you build two copies for separate roles?
The live KMS notice allows a Meso Shop replacement ring one at a time when you hold the destroyed ring's trace. It is a replacement route, not an unrestricted spare-ring purchase.
Do not plan to hold a normal ring, buy another in advance, and build one for each role.
If another guide recommends buying a spare for two simultaneous builds, check that advice against the live purchase restriction.
You can instead keep an existing bossing ring and assign the Ascendant Pulse Ring to farming.
Before enhancing: a checklist

| Decision | Question |
|---|---|
| Receiving character | Will you keep farming and bossing on this character? |
| Role | Is farming or bossing the bigger gap? |
| Potential target | Which lines actually improve your current equipment? |
| Star Force target | What enhancement level would replace the current ring? |
| Resource split | Have you limited Potential, Star Force, and Bonus Potential spending? |
| Stopping point | Will you stop when the ring meets the target? |
Frequently asked questions
Should a new player always make a farming ring?
It is worth considering if you train often and lack meso/drop equipment. If farming damage is weak or you lack a bossing ring, compare combat lines too.
Is a ring without two farming lines a failure?
No. One line that improves your current farming rewards can be useful. Secure a workable result before insisting on a finished endgame roll.
Must a bossing ring reach 18 stars?
No. Seventeen or eighteen stars are possible intermediate targets, not requirements. Compare your present gear and target boss with the cost and destruction risk.
Do Enhancers make the upgrades effectively free?
They are a limited resource earned through play. Spending more on potentials leaves less for stars, and destruction can create a recovery cost.
Is the ring useful if my bossing rings are already good?
It can fill a farming slot. If your farming rings are also sufficient, being new does not by itself justify more spending.
Give the ring the role your character lacks, then build a usable result before chasing a perfect one.
