Korean Armguard +10 Cost Estimate: Attempts, Materials, and Assumptions

URITRIP·August 12, 2026

Historical Korean cost model · About these guides

After obtaining the Korean armguard, players may want to budget its +0 to +10 route. This equipment is separate from bracelets and adds combat stats without item level; “armguard” here is descriptive rather than a verified North American item name.

Random honing results make one character’s attempt count a poor universal benchmark. A model also needs the applicable failure bonuses and Artisan’s Energy, not only the base chance.

The Korean source estimated about 57.5 total attempts and roughly 1.45 million gold-equivalent with all materials valued at its quoted prices. Those are rounded source-model outputs, not an independently validated current average, a spending cap, or a North American price quote.

The source’s +10 estimate at a glance

Korean armguard plus-ten honing estimate and historical price assumptions

Its historical model gave the following figures.

Category Source estimate
Attempts for +1 through +5 About 4.9 per stage
Attempts for +6 through +10 About 6.6 per stage
Total attempts About 57.5
Direct honing gold About 360,000 gold
Gold-equivalent including materials About 1,450,000 gold
Silver requirement Around 20,000,000 Silver

The material valuation includes Destiny Destruction/Guardian Stone Crystals, Great Destiny Leapstones, upper-tier Abidos fusion materials, and Destiny Shards, using the source’s Korean price assumptions.

Usable bound materials can reduce new gold purchases. Their estimated value is not additional gold deducted from the balance when already owned.

Base success rates in the Korean introduction

The first ten stages do not all use the same base chance.

Honing interval Base chance Source-model average attempts
+0 → +1 through +4 → +5 15% About 4.9 per stage
+5 → +6 through +9 → +10 10% About 6.6 per stage

With constant independent chances and no guarantee, 1 ÷ p would give about 6.67 or 10 attempts. That simplified calculation does not describe every honing mechanic.

The official Korean system includes honing and Artisan’s Energy. The source attributes its lower averages to failure-related chance increases and the guarantee. It does not supply a full derivation here, so the quoted 4.9 and 6.6 should remain identified as its model estimates.

Historical price assumptions and per-attempt costs

Stage-by-stage costs and source-model average attempts

The source used these prices.

Material Assumed price
Destiny Destruction Stone Crystals 1,409 gold per 100
Destiny Guardian Stone Crystals 105 gold per 100
Great Destiny Leapstones 10 gold each
Upper-tier Abidos fusion material 173 gold each
Destiny Shards 125 gold per 3,000

The table assumes no additional honing support materials and combines direct gold with attempt materials. Figures are rounded and inherit the source’s average-attempt assumptions.

Target Base chance Cost per attempt Average attempts Estimated stage cost
+1 15% About 20,300 gold 4.9 About 99,200 gold
+2 15% About 21,000 gold 4.9 About 102,900 gold
+3 15% About 21,800 gold 4.9 About 106,700 gold
+4 15% About 22,600 gold 4.9 About 110,500 gold
+5 15% About 23,300 gold 4.9 About 114,400 gold
+6 10% About 24,200 gold 6.6 About 159,500 gold
+7 10% About 25,000 gold 6.6 About 164,900 gold
+8 10% About 25,900 gold 6.6 About 171,000 gold
+9 10% About 26,800 gold 6.6 About 177,100 gold
+10 10% About 27,800 gold 6.6 About 183,300 gold

The source accounts separately for the one-time Shard costs of preparing equipment growth when calculating the total. Rounded displayed attempt counts and costs do not reproduce every stage subtotal exactly.

Materials in the source’s average model

These totals describe the model, not a guaranteed quantity sufficient for every run of attempts.

Resource Estimated amount Gold-equivalent
Destiny Destruction Stone Crystals About 40,300 About 568,000 gold
Destiny Guardian Stone Crystals About 122,200 About 128,000 gold
Great Destiny Leapstones About 2,100 About 21,000 gold
Upper-tier Abidos fusion material About 1,550 About 267,000 gold in the source’s rounded model
Destiny Shards About 2,596,000 About 108,000 gold
Direct honing gold About 363,000 gold About 363,000 gold
Total estimated value About 1,455,000 gold

The Shard quantity includes both growth preparation and attempt consumption. The listed quantities and values are rounded; for example, 1,550 fusion materials at 173 gold is 268,150 gold, slightly above the rounded source row.

Under those assumptions, Destruction Stone Crystals represented the largest material share, with fusion materials and direct fees also substantial.

How bound resources change new spending

The roughly 1.45 million figure values all materials. It is different from the gold a particular account still needs to spend.

If all materials must be purchased

The source model is around 1.45 million gold at those historical prices. Different prices and individual results can exceed that amount; 1.5 million is not a guaranteed ceiling either.

If Shards and leapstones are already available

The model assigns them roughly 130,000 gold-equivalent together, leaving around 1.32 million for the rest. Existing resources must be usable by the intended character.

If most materials are bound and already owned

Direct honing fees, modeled around 360,000 gold, become the main new gold expense. Actual fees still vary with attempts; existing Silver and Shards must also be sufficient.

Keep these two estimates separate.

  • All-material valuation in the source: roughly 1.45 million gold
  • Direct gold with sufficient existing materials in the source model: roughly 360,000

Should honing support materials be used?

The source’s baseline excludes the additional Korean support materials described as Lava’s Breath and Glacier’s Breath.

Increasing success chances can reduce expected attempts, but the support material itself has a cost. Fewer attempts do not automatically mean lower total spending.

The source suggested comparing weapon use for the offensive support material and armguard use for the defensive one. Treat that as an allocation idea, not a universal optimum; verify current eligibility, prices, and Artisan’s Energy first.

How to use the +10 estimate

Direct gold fees versus the value of already-owned bound materials

The source’s model totals approximately 57.5 attempts across the ten stages.

Its averages are approximately 4.9 for the five 15% stages and 6.6 for the five 10% stages, with failure and guarantee assumptions included by the source.

It values the route near 1.45 million gold, including around 360,000 direct fees, roughly 40,000 Destruction Stone Crystals, 120,000 Guardian Stone Crystals, and 2.6 million Shards. None is a guarantee that the next character finishes within that budget.

Use the figures to understand the cost categories, then recalculate against current regional rules and prices. Set an affordable stopping limit rather than treating an average as sufficient protection from an unfavorable result.
