AION 2 Korea vs Global: Lower Prices Do Not Tell the Whole Story

KUKJIN LEE·October 11, 2026

Regional launch comparison · About these guides

“Three million Kinah in Korea, but 500,000 on global—does that make progression six times easier?”

Different price tags attract attention, but crafting, membership, and income also shape the cost of playing.

The price alone cannot answer the question. You need the steps to obtain equipment, the time to earn currency, and the functions a subscription unlocks. Trade restrictions can also change how materials are acquired.

The source compares early-October 2026 global screens with Korean-service examples from that time. Its observed prices and item details are not independently reproduced current quotes. Illustrations in this article are explanatory artwork, not proof of item stats or actual client screenshots.

The crafting observations concern the examined items and recipes, not every possible crafted piece. Treat them as the source's dated comparison rather than a complete current regional audit.

The middle of a crafting path matters too

Historical Korea and global crafting and shop comparison

The described global recipes use a lower-tier piece as an ingredient for a later step.

That makes the materials and equipment needed at each intermediate stage relevant, not only the final item's strength. A Korean shopping list may not map directly to the global route.

The source did not see the compared PvE amplification option on its inspected global crafted items. That does not prove all crafted gear is worthless.

Compare base stats, other options, acquisition effort, and dungeon alternatives before judging the whole category.

A recipe without a separate Kinah charge can still require costly or time-consuming ingredients.

No displayed crafting fee is not the same as free crafting.

Does a one-sixth price mean one-sixth the burden?

The example concerns the 30-day pet/auto-loot access item, shown at 500,000 Kinah in the source's launch comparison versus 3 million in its Korean reference.

Five hundred thousand is one-sixth of three million. That arithmetic does not establish one-sixth the required playtime.

Characters in the two services may have different levels, available content, and income opportunities.

Hypothetically, if both the price and hourly income were one-sixth as large, the time needed would be unchanged. That is an illustration, not a measurement of either service's earnings.

A more useful question is “How long would my character need to earn this amount?”Include material prices and other necessary spending when comparing the real burden.

An 840 Odyle cap does not establish faster regeneration

The source's early-global premium-membership screen listed:

  • Remote Storage
  • Market and Kinah–Quna Exchange access
  • Wind Breeze Merchants access
  • An Odyle Energy storage cap of 840
  • Additional Odyle Energy Cube selections in Expedition, Transcendence, and Sanctuary
  • A Shugo Festival Reward Key cap of 21

Distinguish holding more currency from gaining it faster. They are different benefits, even when both improve convenience.

A higher cap lets more accumulate before reaching the limit. A higher regeneration rate changes the amount earned over time. One does not imply the other.

The source did not see the compared Odyle recharge or Shugo multiplier benefits in that screen. It did see other progression-related access and cube-selection benefits.

Compare membership line by line. Calling all growth benefits removed, or the product purely cosmetic convenience, would not reflect that observed list. Recheck the current product before paying.

Direct trade and the Market are different systems

Separating Odyle storage limits from recharge and trade rules

The official September 19 global notice disabled direct player-to-player trades as an anti-bot measure and explicitly retained the Market. This confirms that notice's policy, not every later client state; membership descriptions have also referred to Personal Trade, so verify the current regional rules rather than assuming unrestricted trading.

Consequently, “direct trade restricted” does not mean “no player economy”.

If a plan relies on handing materials to a friend or alt, check whether that exact action is permitted. Market access and eligible items are separate questions.

An anti-bot objective does not prove bots or illicit currency activity have disappeared. Evaluating effectiveness requires actual enforcement and market evidence.

Does global remove the need to consider spending?

The source's early-global store still showed Quna, starter products, and cosmetics. Regional differences do not mean monetization ceased to exist.

Ask which access and progression opportunities a purchase affects, including Market buying, currency exchange, and dungeon reward choices.

One missing option or a lower Kinah price cannot establish the total cost of reaching a gear goal. Compare the full materials, time, and applicable membership conditions.

Will the same systems arrive in Korea?

A global difference is not an announcement of a Korean implementation or date.

It does not establish that existing Korean equipment will lose all value or be reset at a particular time.

For a Korean character, focus on what is actually announced for that service and how existing progression converts. Buy or craft under the rules of the service you use.

Common comparison questions

Is global always cheaper?

Some observed prices were lower. Different income, progression, and necessary purchases prevent that alone from proving a lower overall burden.

Does global crafting never cost Kinah?

The source saw no separate fee on some recipes. That says nothing universal about every step, and materials still have acquisition costs.

Does the 840 cap mean membership increases Odyle regeneration?

No. The source's listed cap is a storage limit. A regeneration increase would need its own explicit benefit; read the current product details separately.

Is the Market unavailable on global?

No. The official direct-trade restriction retained the Market. Check current membership and other eligibility rules for the action you want.

After spotting a lower price, compare the resources and time needed for the same goal. The progression path tells you more than the price tag alone.
